A commemorative concert marking the 80th anniversary of the liquidation of the family camp at Auschwitz-Birkenau

APOLOGIES, THE CAPACITY OF THE CONCERT IS ALREADY FULL.

The anniversary of the liquidation of the family camp is a reminder of the monstrous deception committed against the living shortly before their deaths. For the residents of the BIIb family block, better treatment was a false hope meant to make the murderers look better, but on 10–12 July 1944, the Auschwitz death factory fulfilled its role.
The Memorial of Silence commemorates this year's anniversary with a selection of compositions that tell the stories of the postwar generations. The legacy of the Shoah is confronted with parallels to contemporary conflicts. Memory is a key to understanding the present.
